Q. What did you do prior to joining Storm Guard?
A. Senior Security Administrator For Department of Homeland Security.
Q. As you evaluated franchise opportunities, what caused Storm Guard to rise to the top?
A. Return on Investment and the opportunity to grow.
Q. What advice would you give to potential franchisees looking to join the family?
A. Storm Guard will change your life and those around you if you trust in the system.
Q. How long have you been in business and what does your team look like today?
A. I’ve been in business since 2016. I am very proud of all of my team. We continue to define and refine all of our skills and abilities. Our goal is to capitalize on those skills we have and grow stronger in those we need.
Q. What is your role in the business and has that changed over time?
A. My role has grown from canvasser, to general damage inspector, to sales manager. Now I fill the roles of HR/recruiting supervisor and general systems builder.
Q. How would you describe the support you’ve received as a franchisee?
A. Great. My Franchise Business Consultant, Pete, has been amazing. He’s been a constant source of support and guidance along with providing constant and clear communication to the rest of corporate overall. I’ve never once not felt supported, heard, and appreciated.
Q. What do you enjoy most about the business/our business model?
A. It helps everyone it touches. Homeowners, families, team members. Each person Storm Guard interacts with we help in real tangible ways.
Q. Can you tell us about your family and the lifestyle you enjoy now that your location is up and running?
A. I have a wonderful wife who is also a business owner in her own right. She’s a constant source of inspiration. 4 wonderful children (2 batches) a 24 year old, an 18 year old. A 6 year old and a 4 year old. They are motivation incarnate and my “why” behind the rest of the reasons I do what I do.
Admittedly my lifestyle focuses mostly around work. Granted this is more my own choice as “up and running” is relative. We are pushing towards bigger and bigger challenges so I still feel like I’m in a startup day to day.
Q. What do you think of Storm Guard Corporate management?
A. They care for all of us in ways I’ve never experienced in any other franchise that I’ve been a part of. There is simply no comparison at all.
